I am a mess
Hi, I am a newbie to all of this. I need to drop a serious amount of weight and get my type 2 diabetes under control or bear the consequences.
I an 60 years old, weigh 100kg and have a HbA1c of around 10. I have arthritis in my R knee, left hip and a few more places and do not exercise. I am very sedentary.
My doctor is getting onto me as she thinks I am in quite serious danger.
I think some of my problems stem from my husband influencing what we eat. He doesn't like vegetables or fruit much at all. There are a couple of things he will eat such as peas and bananas but most he won't. He eats a lot of bread. I slipped into cooking what I know he will have and having the same for myself as it is easier that way.
The time has come for me to make a big change. I am going to start eating low carb, eating more fruits and veg, more healthy protein and probably cooking 2 meals every meal time.
