Also new to Carb Manager and Keto Diet

My husband and I started the Keto diet on Monday, using Carb Manager.  Are the numbers given suggested goals and, besides carbs which is most important to monitor?  I have been using Keto recipes, but I still seem to be 20-40g over on my fats and exceeded the calorie number, as well.  My carb goal is 16g, which seems low to me.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi and welcome! Plan each of your meals in the Carb Manager in advance and you will never exceed any of the numbers unless you want too. Just follow the basic 75/20/5 formula and you'll be fine. Personally I haven't used any of the recipes available. I eat green veggies and meats with the necessary amount of fats from olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil and butter. For me simple is easiest. As long as it tastes good.
