First day on keto diet
I am looking forward to this journey. I am 59 years old. I have struggled with my weight for years. I need to lose 30 to 35 lbs. This app shows I need 25 net carbs. Not sure of the difference between total carbs and net carbs. It looks like I need to do some research.

total carbs is the total amount of carbs a food item/ recipe has; the amount of fiber content in the food item/ recipe is subtracted from the total carbs giving you the net carb amount.. so eat higher fiber foods and the carb amount is reduced! for example.. 1/4 cup of raspberries has 7 total grams of carbs, but it also has 4 grams fiber... subtract 4 from 7 and that "nets" 3 carbs for those raspberries!
