Frustrated with Keto!!!
I have been on keto since January 3rd and reading all the Keto books and doing research but have only lost 18 lbs.. I have a lot to lose. I have kept my carbs to 20 or under.. I have not had any sugar I do not understand why everything has stalled. I lost the first 18 pounds in the first two weeks and that’s it. I’m thinking of giving up keto and going to a 1300 cal diet because this is so frustrating and I’m doing everything right . Does anyone have any advice ?

I have also been on it in a strict way since Thanksgiving of last year. Lost 13 lbs right away and nothing afterwards. However, I just found out that I now have diabetes which came on super suddenly. (Possibly triggered by this diet?) My numbers were fine last year when I was tested. Now I have to stay on this diet because it is really good for my glucose numbers to remain steady until I have my numbers under control. They remain at a steady somewhere between 300 - 385 throughout the day. I have not lost 1 lb since December and have been very strict since it is my life I'm talking about now, not just my weight. I only have about 15-20 lbs to lose. Frustrating and scary.

Sandrach1 I'm not sure I'd go below 20 carbs a day. Maybe check your cholesterol and blood sugar numbers. Maybe this is more than about losing weight and maybe your numbers are better than they were before? That would be a reason to stay on it. If they're not better, then, listen to your body. Be kind to it, too!
