Hello, everyone, I’ve been on Keto-OMAD for almost 2 months and am dying to know...
Will taking nutritional yeast flakes during my fasting window break the fast/spike insulin? My instinct says it will, I mean, the idea of ingesting a spoonful of flakey goodness is exactly that, too good to be true. But if anyone knows, please tell me, because it’d be an awesome snack hack for fasting.

Hi there, actually the best way to find out if the nooch (or any other food) will spike you is to test your blood sugar with an inexpensive home test kit. Test immediately before eating, and then every 30 minutes for 2 hours. Depending on your starting number (which is usually around 100 Mg/dl for non-diabetics), a reading over 140 usually indicates a spike. Good luck!
