Hello to the people of the Carb Manager community!

I've been using Carb Manager for four months now, premium for two, and I've lost more than 35 pounds! I'm now at the lowest weight I've been in more than 10 years. I have another 15 pounds to go to reach my goal weight of 190.

 

I've stuck to a strict Keto diet 6 days a week, with a cheat day once a week. I started adding intermittent fasting about a month ago. More recently, I've started doing long-term fasting, and have done two 24-hour and two 48-hour fasts over the last month. Fasting has really helped me lose weight.

 

I started this diet because my wife wanted to lose weight, and I wanted to support her. I came up with the diet based on the 4-hour body diet I did a few years ago. Once I found the Carb Manager app and started tracking my carbohydrate intake, I realized that we weren't following the best diet plan. My wife has since stopped using the app, but does tend to eat the same things that I am.

 

However, my wife has only lost 10 pounds. Is Keto the same for women? Does fasting hit women differently? Do other women have this much trouble losing weight too? I'd really like to help her more because I can tell she's getting discouraged.

    Hi I think congrats on your weight loss, 

    I think you’re wife needs to just fill in the start part to see what her cals, fats and protein should be as if she’s having what your having I think women have a lot fewer cals protein and fats, 

    ive alway had a problem loosing weight on other diets, but I’ve found this really good, I’ve only done it just over 8 wks and lost 21 lb, 

    Im only having between 10 and 14g carbs, that’s why i think your wife needs to re start the app and fill the start part in, as she might be eating more than the app says, I’ve do the odd fasting and that helps when I’m having a slow week, also I take apple cider vinegar and that’s supposed to help
