Newbie On Day 1/ hour 1!

Good morning! It’s the first hour of day 1, and uh...well, let’s just say old habits die hard when you’re jolted awake by a 80lb. Basset Hound wanting to “go outside”!

By habit, I grabbed a protein bar broke off a third of it, ate that, and then thought “uh. Oh”

I think I actually only consumed about 5 net carbs, so I guess I’m ok tally-wise, but for future reference, if such a blunder matter all that much as long as I stay within my ranges? 

I need to lose 30 pounds, but would be very happy to get 10 off.

    Bars are deceptive Mimi, net carbs in them a farce, I would count total carbs.

    this is a lifestyle commitment, you need to think then plan ahead. My go to is black coffee with MTC oil first thing, fires me up for about 3 hours before meal one. In terms of the rest of your life, it’s nothing to eat a bit of carb garbage but to understand Keto, ketosis, fat adaption, intermittent fasting, you need to get a little education. Head to the low carb chat self education section and start reading. Over whelming at first but if you’ve decided this is the only life for you, you can’t fail with longterm comittment.
