108 g of protein for a 3.5 oz serving of chicken?

Hi,  I made the "Low Carb Slow-Cooker Butter Chicken" recipe (admittedly just because it sounded tasty and simple to make) but was surprised at the nutritional values which state that a 3.5 oz serving contains 107.7 g of protein.  This can't be right...can it?  Based on this chart, it seems like it should be closer to 30 g.

  • Hi there, thanks for the note! So we looked into that item and the nutrition values look correct. It appears that the recipe calls for 3 pounds of chicken divided into four servings. 3 pounds of chicken have roughly 400g of protein, which is then divided by 4 into about 100g per serving (with some extra from the other ingredients). The issue was with the serving size weight descriptor, which was incorrect. We've fixed the problem. Thanks for letting us know!
