New to Keto (Vegetarian). Trying hard to lose 25 lb for a year but the weight won't budge!!

I have been overweight for about 15 years now . Lost weight on and off, weight came back again. Had kids and gained huge amount both times. I never worked out. Now for a year, I have become more and more active and have worked out every single day for about 8 months. The weight won't budge!! I got my thyroid checked. It's just a little under active but it should not be making weight loss THIS hard. I was always afraid to try KETO because I am a vegetarian. But this is my last resort friends :( . I really need to lose 25 lbs.
I started Keto about a week back (at weight 168 lb )after reading again about it on a magazine. Amazing stories vouch for it. I have been able to do it!!
Today I tested my Ketones on mu new Keto strips and it was definitely between 5 and 8 !! I was like what?? I am ready to lose weight. I hope this works. I was 166.4 this morning.
My weight always keeps floating - 2 lb up and down. SO I am waiting to see 164 on the scale, which I have not seen for a year now. I am gonna celebrate if KETO does that <3
