Introducing myself - Lexa
Hiya! well, if you look at my profile, I had two high carb days in a row... after 6 weeks of making the choices I want to make long term. I'm going to chalk it up to the culmination of stressful work and life events this week. This is where, in the past, I lose it and end up on carb binges for anywhere from a couple of weeks, to months or even a year or more. I have almost nothing in the house to derail me this weekend, and the ingredients to make some low carb lunches for next week. This app, and especially this message board, are new for me. Maybe it's the missing link I need to really keep at it!
Looking forward to "meeting" you all,
Lexa

Withrow Urban Homestead so true! my home is free of most high carb things. That is something I adopted a long time ago and have (mostly) stuck to over the years. I don't buy it and bring it home. If I want it badly enough to put outside clothes on (versus inside, cat fur covered jammies) and go to the store to get it. I always figured that meant I really wanted it. Now at work, we have so many snacks all over the place. makes it much harder but my dad told me once, if you make up your mind to say no before you go somewhere, it will be easy to say no at the place (party, event, restaurant etc). I tell myself those treats are for the other employees and not me (not sure how I'm different, but it works in my head).
thank you for the reply and wonderful tip!
