Introduction

Hi, my name is Heidi and I'm a recovering food abuser. I'm one week into keto. I'm 5'6, 48 yrs old, start weight 218 lbs. my goal weight in 170 lbs, dream weight is 155 lbs.  The first few days were hard, but it's gotten easier. My 22 year old son recently lost 45lbs in 8 months doing low carb, and he's inspired me to give it a true effort to make a life style change for good.  I'm loving this app, and my Keto testing strips. Here I come week two! 👊

    Hi Heidi so lovely to have you join us here. The first 2 weeks are the hardest but you will know when you’re fat adapted because for the first time for most of us, we just don’t get that ‘I’m starving’ mood & feeling. You will have a new feeling of control ~ it’s going to be a new opportunity to put your health & your needs first. Food abuse comes in many guises I am sure you have educated yourself on your own condition, I won’t pry. Please put your feet up with a nice cuppa & browse lots of old posts, I guarantee it will be worthwhile, some posts start off on one subject but end up discussing many others. There’s a thread about self education in low carb chats that have video links etc.
