From what I understand the strips aren't supposed to be that accurate. I used them after first starting and got a read. Quite a few years ago I tried to do a keto diet and my body REFUSED to go into ketosis. I was doing super strict low carb and counting EVERYTHING that went in my body. I tried so hard for 6 wks and only lost 3 lbs before I gave up. Now looking back I can point to a couple of things I may have been doing wrong. I occasionally ate the atkins bars and I wasn't keeping track of my protien intake. I'm not sure if which one of those contributed to me not getting into ketosis but I'm doing things a little different this time. I have been trying keep a better track of my protien and have only been having one meal a day(I already know I will get flack for that). Btw I am NOT suggesting anyone else do OMAD. It works for me. But maybe a little IF will get you into keto faster.
