Emma

Hello, perhaps someone can help me. I’ve allowed myself 1200 cal a day, 21 carbs. But I’m having a hard time eating all those calories since my appetite isn’t what it used to be. With not meeting my calorie goal will this lessen  my weight loss?

No, not meeting your calories won’t lessen your weight loss.  Actually, it’s not a bad thing at all.

A lot of folks have success by thinking of the calories as a limit not to be exceeded.  By limiting your carbs and being in calorie deficit, you force your body to burn stored fat for fuel.  That’s the goal.

So, eat when you’re hungry and only until you’re full - don’t worry about reaching calorie numbers.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

  • Agree with Pat F.  Sometimes, our apetite will play on us. The link above is one way of preparing one delicious omlet. You can try it😊

Do you eat any high fat items? That will definitely up your calorie count if that's what you're looking for - for example, my cup of bulletproof coffee alone is almost 250 calories.  And if you eat fatty proteins (like salmon), that will help, too.
