I brushed my teeth a lot and used mouthwash. I had to double my water goal to Sixteen 8 oz glasses and increase my sodium to keep from dehydrating. The good news is after you become fat adapted, the keto breath goes away. My understanding is the stored fat cells we burn also have water stored in them.

Peppermint oil is good. I would stay away from mouthwash unless it is alcohol free. Otherwise, that will dry your mouth out even more and complicate the issue.
Glycogen is what your body uses to store water. When you take away the carbs, you take away glycogen and your body retains less water. Therefore, you have to hydrate more.
