Why are you considering the Ketogenic Diet?
My Personal Perspective
I've been on the Ketogenic Diet since July 2016 and some Intermittent Fast, due to a metabolic condition.

Keto Recipes
Keto Pizza with a almond crust, Keto Spaghetti, Keto Cheese Cake, etc.
With that said, I enjoy the Ketogenic Diet but don't recommend it.
The Downside of The Ketogenic Diet
The main issue is that like most things, the more restrictive something it, the less likely someone will comply and maintain it.
For the reason, many individual try the Ketogenic Diet but go off of it.
What I Do Recommend
Intermittent Fasting
The Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting share some similar health benefits.

Hybrid Car
Like a Hybrid Car, you can use electricity (ketones) and gas (glucose) dependent on the need.
Glucose Dependent
Individual on a Standard High Carbohydrate Diet are Glucose Dependent. Their "Car" primarily runs off gas (glucose) rather than body fat (ketones).
Ketone Dependent
Individual on a Ketogenic Diet primarily utilize ketones (body fat) rather than glucose for energy. That appears to be one of the downside for individual who participated in Glycolytic Energy sports or activities.
Calorie Count
When it comes to any diet, calories count.
That means than even on a Ketogenic Diet, calories are a factor in weight loss.
Trying The Ketogenic Diet
1) The only way to learn about it, anything it, it to try it.
2) Learn about the nuances of the Ketogenic Diet before you try it
Many individual end up going on a High Protein, Low Carbohydrate, Low to Moderate Fat Diet, which isn't a Ketogenic Diet.
Also, increasing your Sodium intake play a major role in the Ketogenic Diet.
The Keto Flu (where you feel like you have the flu) is caused by Low Sodium intake.
3) Be patient, there's a learning curve involved with the Ketogenic Diet.
