Hello All
I'm also a newbee have been trying to figure everything out, my Dr. recommend this website & very happy she did because now I can see what I was doing wrong definitely getting more protein than fat so by tracking everything I've been able to turn that around, I have loss weight & find this an easy food change to follow, my problem is getting into large ketones ( with the strips) I'm moving back & forth between small & med although my numbers for the fat, protein & carbs are where they should be actually my carbs are lower than suggested... Any help would be appreciated or as long as I'm losing weight do i have to worry about it?? 😊

Hi! I'm new to this site, but not low carb eating. I was a nutritionist (in my working days ~ before 3 knee replacements and a spoon Fusion took me out of the game). The only thing I can say is that you should eat close to your target amount of carbs. When I went too low, my ketone levels (on the strips) dropped, but came back up when I leveled off at my target. I hope it goes well for you. I really enjoy low carb eating..... there is NOTHING that's off limits ~ any food can be made low carb with a little imagination. I love to cook and have a lot of recipes that I've converted, so if you're looking for a particular food ~ give me a shout and I'll try to help.
HAPPY EATING

connie the popular one is Ketonix, but I've read mixed reviews and is not cheap. https://www.ketonix.co/. I bought this one for $12 and it works: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074MDMFTT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.jTTAbNYDKQJY .
This YouTube video explains why cheap breathalyzers measure ketosis... https://youtu.be/ktZ6WtM3QNo
Good luck and lmk if you need anything else.
