Bizarre introduction 😕
Hello 👋🏼 my name is Lauren. I started the keto diet 2 weeks ago and suddenly I’ve got a skin rash like allergy, I looked it up online and says it’s a Keto rash that usually happens to Assian women (I’m Latino). I was wondering if somebody else in this forum had got the same? I’m really interested in continuing with this diet but my rush is getting worse (dark red and itchy). I’m here trying to figure it out before going to the doctor :/
thank you 🙏🏼 so very much!!

No, I’ve been steady on the diet since 3/20
its been fun figuring out how to enjoy “almost “ everything I ate before.
Im not a DR but it’s my opinion that the rash is a reaction to the rise in ketones which levels off when you become fat adaptive (whatever that is)- all I know is it works. I had 20 pounds to lose and met that goal a week ago!

I don’t know if this will help any of you, but I have been battling the keto rash for a month now after being keto adapted for two months. My Keytone level is 2.8 pretty consistently and have stayed strictly on my diet plan but have noticed a plateau in weight loss and the rash. I have researched for weeks now as a full-time job as to what could cause this and I am seeing every explanation under the sun from detoxifying/expelling acetone/ Purchased bile salts/ spent money on very expensive probiotics etc. then I thought I would try something on my own on an elimination diet. Once I eliminated swerve/ Erythritol from my diet or products for a few days it immediately went away. Then I introduced it back in my diet and within two days full-blown rash again. I tried this three times and got the same result. Don’t know if this will help you but it drove me crazy trying to figure out what was causing it.
