Hello everyone! Just downloaded the app and wanted to say hi. My name is Kaiden. I've been overweight half my life and have finally decided to take care of myself. I've been using myfitnesspal for 20 days now, but it only counts calories unless you pay for premium. So here I am. 

 

20 days of eating healthy and exercising and I haven't lost a single pound :( I do have hypothyroidism which makes it harder to lose weight, but I hope since now I'm counting carbs and stuff and fine-tuning my food intake I'll start shedding pounds soon :)

  • Hi Kaiden! What kind of exercise are you doing?  If this is your first real experience with consistent exercise, you are probably gaining muscle as you lose fat.  This could cause the scale to not even budge.  Instead of worrying about that, focus on how your clothes are fitting.  Keep going and I'm sure you will notice a difference!

    Can you tell us what foods you've been eating and what your macro and calorie targets are? When I first started keto, I gained weight because I had grossly overestimated my calorie needs and I was also eating too much protein.
