Why is the calorie count in ‘my day’ & ‘diet goal calculator’ different to that in ‘in depth’?

  • Hi there, thanks for sending the screenshots. It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like your total calories and net calories goals are different. The goal circled in the first screen is your net calories goal, while the goal circled in the next screen is for total calories. You can set you total calories goal under Settings > Diet Goals.

  • Carb Manager  don’t really understand which number to follow or net and total calories. I don’t need to loose weight just change body composition and eat clean.   Do I consume the higher or lower number?  Thanks

  • It depends on whether you'd like to offset calories with activity. Net calories are calories in minus calories out (from activity), while total calories are just calories in. Most of our users track net calories, so they can get credit for activity to offset calories. To track net calories, please go to Settings > Calories to Track and set it to Net Calories.

These settings are not where you say they are.  Has the app been updated and changed?  Also, I find it very hard to believe I need to starve at 1084 calories in order to lose 2 lbs a week!

Walter I'm on the same number and  I don't feel like m starving at all. So much fat makes me feel full..and decadent! I love cheese, olives, avocado, salmon, bacon. So awesome.

  • Hi @Walter  - We deduct 500 calories per day for each 1 lb of weekly weight loss, to total a calorie deficit of 3500 calories per pound of weekly lost body weight. Of course, actual results may vary, and some may lose more or less quickly than the calculator predicts. If you have any questions about your calorie or macros goals, please contact us via the Support Center.
