8 weeks in and hit a wall with loss

I’m 8 weeks in and the last two weeks I have put on 1 lb each with so two in total, within 6 weeks I got 15lb off, but now it’s 13lb in 8 weeks, I feel like I’ve hit a wall with the weight loss. I’m still sticking to it and I’m in ketosis still as I have the sticks for your urine. Anyone else had similiar weeks? I also intermittent fast everyday

    "The General Adaptation Syndrome"
Hans Selye, M.D., PhD around 1923 determined when the body is exposed to a disease, one of two thing will occur.  Either your body adapts and becomes resistant or you succumb to the disease and die.
The same is true with diets, exercise, etc.  At some point, you body adapts to a lower calorie diet to ensure you don't starve do death; you metabolic read decreases.
    The MATADOR Weight Loss
“Minimizing Adaptive Thermogenesis And Deactivating Obesity Rebound” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28925405/
This research demonstrates that the body adapts to diet change in approximately two weeks. Once adaptation occurs, weight loss stops.
The research determined that to key to increasing you metabolic rate,  once that happens, it to increase your caloric intake.

Yea, I realize that is counterintuitive.  However, it works.
Bodybuilder have used this method for decades because it work.
Thus, at end of two weeks or when progress stops, you need to then increase your calorie intake.  By doing so, you metabolic rate will increase.  You will likely increase you weight a little.
However, once you go back to a calorie deficit, you will lose that weight and even more.  The Rotation Diet b00k the came out in the 1980's demonstrated the effectiveness of this method.
Research demonstrated greater fat loss and more muscle mass retention with this method.

"Everything Works but Nothing Works Forever"

You obtained some good results in you first six weeks.

However, you body has now adapted.

As the saying goes, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.".

When adaptation occurs you need to change something.

Yeah I’m in the same boat sister. The last 10 days I have stayed within 1/10 of a pound. I follow everything to the tea I usually do a 12 to a 15 hour intermittent fast. I’m right at about eight weeks too. I will have to say that I look better and I feel better but I have 15 more pounds to go and it’s so frustrating to be doing everything and be stuck.I hope some other people weigh in LOL

  • I am super new to this diet, 4 days in, should I have lost weight? I have been doing pretty well.  When does weight start falling off?

Short version is to measure and measure at least weekly!  The scale is not the only way to check on your progress.

Way back when I was doing my 75 lbs weight loss, I had some incredibly demoralizing plateau's that lasted as long as 6 weeks.  If I wasn't measuring (neck, chest, waist, hips, etc.) I would have given up.  While I was in the occasional plateau, the inches were coming still off.

    Good luck!
