Anyone else use the macro deduct feature for exercise?

I just noticed this option and haven’t ever tried it. Was curious if anyone else was using it and how it was working out for them?

Becky Walsh  At some point i tried to manually calculate my calories out based on numbers you can find online (1 minute of HIIT is roughly 10 calories etc) but i realized that the error rate is way too high to get any meaningful results.

In short, i wouldn't bother unless you have a high quality fitness bracelet (and not an apple watch for example).

I tried it but turned it off after a week.  I have a Fitbit that I sync to CM but I am sceptical about how many calories it says I was burning. It was showing (on the food logging wheel) that I still had all my micros even though I had used them for the day.  Since my goal is to lose weight I figured if I just stayed within my micros and any calories I burned would help the scale move faster.

  • I turned it on for a day or two but didn’t  really trust it either.
