Daily berry/nut drink

am I setting myself up for failure by adding daily fruit to my diet?

As a matter of principal, in the past I have avoided all fruit while on a low carb diet.  I am averaging about 20 carbs per day, while in my weightloss phase. Interestingly I was looking at blackberries and raspberries and was surprised to see how low in net carbs they both are.  I have begun making a nut/ berrie drink to enjoy in the evening that contains 5 carbs net with 56 grams raspberries, and 28 grams pine nuts and 2 tbs chie seeds and 1 oz heavy whipping cream.

FYI... I am eating two meals per day.  Lunch at 11 and then dinner around 5, this is why my carb consumption is little enough to allow a fruit drink splurge in the evening.

If it's not impeding your goal then go for it. Berries are inherently healthy.

I've been low carb (25-50 g/day) since January, lost 30+ pounds, feel great- and have fruit daily. I recommend sticking with low GI fruit like grapefruit, apples, berries.

Question about net carbs and success. I'm wondering if people have more success watching total carb before the net carb or vs ? Some "low carb " items are filled with carbs bulked with fiber. I'm trying to avoid all  higher "low carb " items like Adkins products for now.

abowman70  is the 25-50g net or total?  Reason I ask is  I set my goal for 30 g net carbs a day to attempt to  lose weight effectively.  Your progress sounds great!

ryaro05 sorry. I was out of cell range. The 25-50g is total. If it's a day of protein bars and shakes it ends up being closer to 50g.
