Would Love Some Advice

I have been on keto for one week today. I have used the Carb Manager app and have stuck to the keto guidelines strictly. I started testing my ketones with test strips over the weekend. The highest I’ve gotten is about 1.0/1.5. It’s now gone back down to “trace.” I’ve not experienced ketone flu symptoms. I’m 40 years old, 5’0” and 193 lbs. I am an attorney so I don’t get much exercise at work, but I have a 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter so I run after them evenings and weekends. My husband is doing keto with me, and his ketones keep going up. Can anyone give me any advice of what I might be doing wrong? I can answer more specific questions as you have them... thank you so much I’m advance; I’m becoming frustrated.

This is my second time doing keto. I lost 30 lbs in 6 months. I did not get the flu until the beginning of my second month. I just started again and still nothing. Check your macros and make sure they are correct. Have you lost any weight since you started?

  • My macros are set at 25g net carbs, 123g fat and 99g protein.  I am often not quite hitting my fat or protein totals though. I come close.
