Feeling Great, but Hit a Stall
So I have been keto faithful for about 6 weeks and have lost 29 lbs off of what began as a 64 yr old, 280 lbs and 5’11” frame. I have watched my Macros and have been faithfully meeting my splits, but for a week now I have stalled out at 250 lbs.
I am happy with my weight loss, but I’m wondering if I need to shake up my fat or protein intake to break the stall that I am in.
So do I need to add to my daily activity schedule that includes a strenuous 5 mile walk and 45 minutes at the gym each day to lift or modify my Keto plan?
PS. I am also watching that my calorie intake is 1500 or less.
Thanks

I am by no means an expert, but I can sympathize with your current state. I started low carb, high fat about a year and 3 months ago. I quickly (over 6 months) lost 45 lbs but have been stalled for the last 9 months. I know it's because I was basically eating "dirty" keto because of my schedule and other personal reasons. I was just happy to sustain my weight over the 9 months and am basically happy with where I am, although my plan is to get back with it and lost another 30-35 lbs. I'm 63 years old with a stocky frame and 5'8" tall. I started at 250 lbs so I'm happy to be at 205 or so. I was type 2 diabetes and have kicked the metformin and all my levels are great.
I'm determined to do it right and get down to around 170 lbs.
Best of luck to you!
