Too many calories?

Hi! I’m a newbie! Just started, however I feel like I might be eating too many calories in one sitting? My caloric goal is about 1500 calories and I’m only eating 2 meals, so essentially I’m eating 700 calorie meals. Is that a lot? I’m second guessing myself it seems like it is too much now that I’m thinking about it.

  • Hello! Are you doing this for weight loss? Did you use the app to set your macros? If yes to both, then it should show you in the settings approximately how many pounds per month you should lose at that caloric setting. The other questions are: Are you intentionally eating that many calories even if you aren’t hungry? Are you staying within your other macros?

  • Hi! I’m sorry for the late reply! I forgot how to get back here! Lol! Yes definitely doing this for weight loss. I mean, I am intentionally eating that many- well they’ve been ranging between 500-800 per meal because I’m only eating 2 meals within the 8 hour period not really hungry in between meals so far. Lots of water has been helping as well.

That your not hungry is a good indicator your in Ketosis, and it's normal that you will not be as hungry! Make sure your getting your protein as much as possible. The fat isn't  as necessary , as your body should be working on using your body fat--the fat in the diet is there to keep you satiated and feeling less hungry. It's common for many people on this diet to go on a daily fast (myself included) and only eat one meal. I try to stay on a 20 to 21 hour fast daily. I will eat some kind of a protein snack if I'm getting overly hungry in that 3 hour period. Another thing that will help is to eat a fat bomb! There is a good recipe for these on this site. If you go to a daily fast, try to increase your protein in your meal. I use a Premier Protein Chocolate Shake at my meal which increases my protein by 30g.  Good Luck!
