Macro/daily goal question for the not hungry newbie

Hey keto community! I have been hitting all my macro and gram goals since I started (a week ago) and today I just don't feel/want to eat all my goal grams because I'm just not that hungry today, and I can't force myself to eat.

As far as what I have eaten, I'm still in the perfect ratio for each macro (5/25/70) but I just can't hit my end target for daily macro/gram goals. Does anyone know if that's going to throw me out of whack if this occasionally happens?

    Don’t sweat it. You won’t hit all your macros every day. And remember, your fats macro is just a target. If you are shy on fats, only add more if you are still hungry. Carbs are the biggie to not exceed.

    Ok, that makes me feel better. I haven't gone over my carb goal by more than 1 gram, I'm usually at 19 or 20 and almost always under my protein by a bit. I try to keep it so my fat far exceeds any other macro.

    My thoughts - Only eat when you are hungry. Think of the fat macro as a satiety number. You do not have to meet it, unless you are hungry. Try to meet your protein goal (especially if you want to preserve muscle mass)...no worries if you go over but not too often.  And definitely stay at or under Net Carbs.

  • Yeah, I'm definitely not hungry today either. I've been battling nausea too so I think I'll follow my gut and not worry about hitting targets when I feel like this.  I'll always stay under 20 net carbs.
