Gaining weight on Keto!,,
I need advise and/or moral support. I have been on Keto for almost 2months. I have been very diligent and lost 16lbs. However, as of this am, I have gained 4lbs back! I've kept my carbs below my max of 24g, sometime as low as 6g. I have gone over calories and protein the last couple day. Is this what has caused the gain? PLEASE HELP! Thank you.

Hi - congratulations on your weight loss!! I’m sorry to say it’s about the calories. If you choose another diet here you’ll see the macros change but the calories stay the same. Choose a diet plan that’s easy to follow and makes you feel good while you’re on it and limit the calories.
I did the same thing so keep doing what you were doing and the 4 pounds will come back off quickly, you’re doing great!

You aren't alone!! Hang in there!!

I guess my low carb pizza is too high in calories, lol. That made me chuckle, cuz once a week I treat myself to half an Adkins pizza and like clock work, the next day, the scales show me up a lb to lb an 1/2. I have wondered if the pizza causes me to retain more water in that time frame.
I have never been on a diet that made the scales jump back and forth by a couple of pounds! But that seems to be a norm with this dang keto stuff.
Does it "feel like" weight gain, as in your clothes feel snugger or is it something you see on the scale?
I know if I don't stay right on top of my calories, if I go a couple of days going over, the scale will jump up by a lb or two. It will also jump up on me if I'm not careful with my fat intake.
(I read people trying to figure out how to get enough fat and I WISH I had that issues, LOL, I have to fight to stay in my fat macro range.)
I tend to be more hawkish with my calorie count then I am with my carb count, cuz the carbs I get are veggie/yogurt related. Going over my cal count does send me into a bit of a panic if I wasn't planning for it on that day. I have wondered if this diet(keto) might lead to quicker weight gain since it does rely so heavily on an upped fat intake.
Like I said, not alone, just keep truckin!
