Hi, I started keto 4 days ago and was in ketosis the 2nd day. I was 228 on Monday and have lost 8 in 4days. Should I be worried?

    The first week on any new eating regime involves a bigger drop than at any other time.  It's your liver dumping its glycogen stores. Along with that is water retention.

  • Hi Lisa, I’ve wondered the same thing. Terror Smurf’s is right, you’ll see a big drop at first. It’s different for everyone, but I plateau, then drop again, etc..  I’ve been on keto for about 45 days and lost 20.4 labs, but it’s been a rollercoaster: 4 days of plateau, and then -3.5 lbs in 3 days. Just stick with your tracking and it will work!
