What to track??

Do I track salt and pepper? And if anyone can think of any other dos and don’ts to tell me, thanks

    No I don’t. Focus on carbs, don’t over complicate your start on Keto. 4 months in I only keep an eye on carbs, the rest got too stressful/uptight for me. I like laid back weightloss, I trust this lifestyle now.

    GeminiStargazer17 I don’t think you have to worry about sodium tracking on low carb, unless you have an issue with water retention or blood pressure. How many carbs are you tracking per day?

  • I track sodium for medical reasons. I have a tendency to hyponatremia, and my doctor wants to know if I'm getting enough sodium, and if I'm drinking too much water. So yes, there is a good reason, especially if you plan to track and compare over a long period of time. Keto can be sodium depleting.

    Frances Klein For sure! I kind of caution against drinking way too much water, or being able to balance the two. Potassium is a must even on a lower carb if your not eating something extremely  high in potassium.  Too many fluids wash out some dietary needs.
