Beef and butter question

I’m just wondering about the science/macros behind the beef and butter thing.

Could I use other proteins? Could I do Salmon and butter one day, steak and butter another day..? 

Or is there a particular reason it has to be ground beef?

    I'm not sure what you are referencing? I eat lots of different proteins.
