Glad to be Here!

Hello Everyone!  I need some support by fellow peeps that are following a Keto diet plan!   I am 50 years old, female, married, two grown children and two grand babies!  I live in Southwestern Colorado. I am not very active, I drive long hours to work and mostly sit at a desk all day so its been a little difficult to get any good PA in my daily routine.  I was diagnosed with Gerd, diverticulitis, , and stomach ulcers so I knew it was time for me to make a huge change.  I watched a lot of documentaries on Paleo and read about a low carb, high fat way of eating and have been on Keto for almost five weeks.  I feel better I believe because I have cut out all grains and sugar. However I am finding the lifestyle to be harder and harder as I continue with it.  Not because I can't follow the plan, because either my carbs are to high, my fat it too low, now my protein is to high, or my calories are too high.  trying to track and balance all of that consumes a huge portion of my day and now I am discouraged because I am tied of thinking about what I eat 24/7.  Any way hope to find some good pints and tips from others who are successful.  Thank you

Christy, don’t get discouraged, it’s not a sprint.  Long and steady wins the prize, and your health is well worth it.  Look up some interesting recipes on Pinterest if you haven’t already done so.  I make up some ready to go meals, that way if I’m in a hurry I’m not tempted to grab something I shouldn’t have.
