new here, but did Keto by accident.
So, Doc says in Feb. YOU are killing yourself. 247pounds at a time.
argh. I have done low carb in past, but insert excuse here...and weight gain. Not my highest, but not a proud point either.
So, my beloved hubby and I made a pack to do low carb together.
I hate substituting low carb for the savory wonders of my eat anything days. I love to try new things.
So, we completely changed our diets.
60 carbs or less...but we were not able to eat it all. We started to feel full?
What the what? I used to be able to eat a whole pizza and then share a full cake and ice cream with him in the past?
I found myself at 15 carbs a day. living off big green salads, avocado,(how did I live without you, dear avocado?) , chicken, fish, bacon and cheeses of amazing creaminess.
Cabbage cooked in so many ways. An occasional hamburger, but the rolls were like sugar cubes in my mouth...argh gross!
A good friend asks"What are you doing? You are melting?"
low carb, but only like 15 carbs a day
40 pounds off, and I need 40 more gone.
she responds, "I think you are in ketosis!" and I got scared!? What?
I now walk/run 3.5 miles 5x a week, and swim one mile 4x a week.
Now, people say, I am doing i the wrong way. I asked my doctor, he says, my heart is healthy, my blood work fantastic, and you can breathe.
I need more recipes, meal ideas and others who won't slam the keto life
