Struggling

Im so frustrated. I’m following the diet  as strictly as I can. I never go over in carbs (24) I eat no sugar.

I rarely meet my fat goals; a struggle from the start. I find that my fat/protein ratio is close to equal. I know this isn’t ideal, but can’t seem to get it right. I have lost 1 pound in 2 weeks.  I walk 4 miles , 4 days a week. Any suggestions?  I’ve purchased coconut oil, mct oil, avacado oil and many other keto recommended products. Starting to think keto can’t work for me. 😕

What do you eat in a typical day?  How do you use your MCT oil?

hey there!! it could be that you might be consuming the wrong type of fats. Fat is essential and important for your body so must look at your diet cause my sister had the quite same issue in her keto routine. On a ketogenic diet, monounsaturated and saturated fats should provide the majority of your dietary fat intake to supply the body with energy, as the body prefers to use these types of fats for fuel. Monounsaturated fats are found in abundance in certain oils such as olive, avocado, and canola, as well as in some animal fats such as lard.  After all this research on the right consumption of fat, I also came across free ebookshttps://bit.ly/3f4vhML which helped me in cooking dishes with the right amount of protein and fat quickly as my sister was a working woman and now use these dishes for my daily meals.   Saturated fats that are naturally concentrated in most animal fats such as dairy fat.

I hope it helps you. good luck!

  • I don see my reply in this thread so I’m going to try or it again. If it’s a repeat, please forgive.
I gave “morning coffee” w/MCT oil and a veggie shake for breakfast. Occasionally I have bacon or sausage to add fats. I find I’m full at lunch, so rarely eat. If I do it’s a salad w/chicken and creamy dressing for added fats. Or a bun less burger w/cheese.
dinner is a wide variety. I purchase 2 keto cookbooks and have been trying to vary. Downside us I don’t eat fish and cannot stomach avacado.  I made 2 different kinds of fat bombs fir a snack, and occasionally have a handful of almonds.
I find gay at the end of the day if I’m trying to add fats, it typically includes proteins, ;even though very small) but it adds up to make ratio not in what is recommended.
thank you for suggestions and support.
