I was primarily a lower carb eater - ever since a Candida Cleanse 3 years ago. Fortunately for me, that’s when I permanently killed my need for sweet things. About a year ago, I relaxed my diet and I reintroduced tortilla chips into my snack diet ( big mistake!) I am very stable in my weight but slowly added 8 pounds. A friend invited me to join her on the Fast Metabolism Diet. I wanted to shed those 8 pounds and 2 more for good measure. I gave it 3 weeks. I couldn’t handle the “gentle soothing “ phase one carbo load days. Stomach cramps, bloating etc. plus I was only 1.5 pounds down in 3 weeks. I have concluded I am way better off checking the carbs and getting back to being grain free. I know this works. My Candida Cleanse diet was very similar and I felt amazing for months.
