Net Calories

I’m a bit confused about calories.  It seems that Carb manager Calories are high.  As an example, other sources say an egg is 78 calorie, 2- scrambled eggs is 156.  In Carb manager it registers 214.    I know calories aren’t the most important thing in Keto but logically I know if I reduce calories that’s a big plus.

  • I tend to create my own food list from the groceries I buy that way I know everything is accurate.

In the example you gave for the eggs it may be that the scrambled eggs also include some sort of butter or oil etc. If I was to have scrambled eggs I would log my two eggs, then I would log whichever fat I used to cook them in.

I find that logging the individual ingredients to be more accurate.

I add my calories for butter as well so that makes it even higher.  Guess I could edit the calories in carb manager?  Or, not include the additional butter on my end but then it messes with the fat macro.  Probably overthinking it.
