Just a PSA to double-check nutrition info, even what's on the package
Seriously double-check packaged food. I recently got a package of Green Giant frozen cauliflower rice and I looked at it in the store. It's straight cauliflower. Should be fine. And it is, so far as the macros. But it says it make 4 one-cup servings. I didn't give it too much thought at the time, just threw it in the cart.
Fast forward to tonight. I gave hubby and myself both half-cup servings. Imagine my surprise when half the package was gone. So then I took a serious look at the front of the package. Twelve ounces. Now, math isn't my strong suit, but someone want to explain to me how they propose to get four one-cup servings out of a single package?
I sent them an email. I'm sure I'll get some sort of BS answer about how the food settled or whatever. There is no way to make frozen cauliflower settle that much :-p
