Too much protein a bad thing?

I keep going over my protein. I’m just always inclined to choose chicken or veggies or eggs.  Things loaded with protein. Suggestions on keeping protein down or better options for high fat food to replace all the protein I keep choosing? Thanks!

  • I am doing the same thing. I have also asked the same question. Waiting on an answer.
Tracking is harder then I thought it would be.

  • I like sauces and flavored mayo to add fat to my meals.  Think things like avocado oil dressing, flavored mayo or butter.  If you do some searches in Pinterest or YouTube you'll find all sorts of ideas.

  • I eat an avocado or half daily.  It has 21g of fat, but only 2.9 grams of protein, yet this is a highly beneficial food item and can be dressed in many other ways, e.g. with blue cheese crumbled or blue cheese dressing, salted, balsamic vinagrette, crumbled canadian bacon.

The protein question is also one that I’ve been lately concerned with. I recommend seeing the recent video on this very topic on the Diet Doctor channel on YouTube.
As you may know, Diet Doctor is a low carb site.

This is good info!  I’m tracking today for the first time. So far I am under on carbs and fat, but already over my protein 😆

Ketosis is the absense of carbs, not the presence of fat or protein.

Although fat gives us energy in a Keto diet, many of us have fat reserves on our bodies. Some have reached their goals and don't, they need the fat.

Personally, I always go over my protein amount and am under my fat amount. It works for me, so I guess it depends on what works for your body.

I hope this makes sense, I find sometimes the macros throw people off.

PS: 137 lbs down on a LC/Keto diet that is high in protein.
