Gaining weight on keto
I have been doing keto for almost 3 weeks now and there has been several learning curves. The first week I lost 8 lbs of water weight. Week 2, I gained 4 lbs. Frustrated, I started researching where I went wrong. I forgot about watching the calories and I started working out creating retention of water and muscle weight. Of course, it is what I chopped it up as. Week 3, it was time to reboot. I am trying IF (16:8) for the past two days and lost a 1/2 lb. Overall, I have learned keto really helps keeping the glucose levels down, but fasting has help me focus and reduce the desire for 1500 calories along with moving my glucose levels into the normal range during fasting times. I desire less food. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated?????

Hello from DebraGator :). If you drop your calories to low you will stall your weight loss. Splenda and Stevia make me crave and stall. I am on week 5-6 and have lost 15 lbs. I don't test my blood or urine but I knew when I went into fat burning mode. If fasting works for you great but if you get hungry eat. This is not your typical diet where we have to starve. Get your fat and protein as close as possible and never over on carbs. Good Luck and stay in touch :)

Tallynoles98 I started focusing on staying under calorie and carb goals while learning to balance fat and protein. Entering food in app before eating, when you can still make changes, is very helpful. Meal planning and prepping makes a big difference. I freeze individual portions and pull out as needed. It will get easier, just give yourself a chance to adjust to this new way of eating. Good Luck

Tallynoles98
1/4 c coconut oil, melted \
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp lemon zest, finely grated
lemon juice
1 tsp lemon juice
lemon extract
lemon extract, optional
Stevia or any sweetener you like
Beat all the ingredients until smooth I have used an ice cube tray (small) and yesterday I used a pie plate. You can eat them right away but I put them in the freezer. Break into small pieces put in a jar in the refrigerator.
You can put in the recipe and carb manager will figure it all out. I do mine by oz.

Tallynoles98 I don't like left overs so feel free to use more. These actually taste better the next day. 3 oz (your choice) bacon or sausage cooked. Beat 2 eggs add sausage or bacon to mix and cook. I have an Ninja Foodie so I save a few pieces (bacon or sausage) for the top. I pressure cook the eggs in my silicone mold but I believe you can microwave the silicone mold. Search and you will find a lot of egg bite molds. :). All done . The bites average 2.6 oz.

Tallynoles98 It appears that when you enter a new weight in measurements your daily macros change. I am not sure how many pounds lost trigger a lower calorie/macro change. I went in yesterday and lowered my calories under setting, macros because I felt like it was to many allowed. Then I realized so what you don't have to eat all the calories so Leave It Alone (to me from me) :). Is this clear as mud now?
