Week 2 Slump
Week 1 was great- lost 8lbs and felt awesome. I'm nearing the end of week 2 and the scale hasn't moved at all. Plus I don't feel as thin as I did during week 1. I have been doing 16:8 intermittent fasting, keeping my calories under 1400 a day, less than 18 carbs a day. I'm getting frustrated and so tempted to give up.

This is me exactly! Two weeks today. 9lbs first week. No movement this week.
I know from experiencing dieting before that sometimes it’s just water retention or my body adjusting, but the weight loss kicks back in.
this week I am going to be more careful in measuring food and try to move a little more each day. And I am going to hang in there.

The day after I replied to you I weighed myself again and I had dropped 2 1/2 pounds. Now there’s no way I could lose 2 1/2 pounds in one day! I try to weigh myself just once a week so that I do not become obsessed with the scale and the numbers. I think this experience for me was a good reminder of how unreliable a scale can be. Maybe I should weigh myself once a month?
