Nutrition Label Question

Why is the total carbs for this recipe 10.1g when the fiber and sugars don't add up to that? I have seen this on other nutrition facts tables as well. Shouldn't it be sugar minus fibre equals net carbs? I don't get the calculations...

From what I've read on a couple of sites, its starch.   I was wondering the same thing the other day.  I've found this ....http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/kind-carbs-starch-fiber-1247.html

  • The additional carbs come from a starch of some kind. To find your net carbs, subtract fiber carbs from total carbs. Although what I find truly baffling is the label states that this is a sugar-free item, you get has 3 grams of sugar. Keep up the good work on reading labels.
