Hello everyone ,I am a Keto Newbie started 25th March 2019

Hi ...My name is Sonya and I am now into my second week.  My situation is  probably a common one.  I had my photo taken two weeks ago and was really shocked at how awful I looked. I know I have gained weight over the years and I have slowly worn baggier clothes I think I have been in denial!! As the story goes photos don鈥檛 lie馃槷. I could see the rolls of fat around my stomach and my round puffy face, chubby arms and thighs.  I carry most of my fat around my mid section. The morning I started Keto I looked at my naked body and was horrified! I know the dangers of carry fat around the stomach and it鈥檚 a worry to me. So this is where I am at the moment...week two on Keto. Last week I had a awful headache for three or four days but doing ok so far! I am coping well without the carbs but really missing red wine.  Now that I have got over the shock I will take weekly photos.  I am so happy that I have decided to tackle this and right now I feel positive.

  • I am in day 9 of Keto and I am very fatigued - have the energy of a turtle. I am wondering what I am doing wrong. I know you have side effect the first week but I am past that with no improvement in energy.

    Those headaches are usually from electrolyte loss or dehydration. Try to get plenty of pink salt and drink lots of water. Eat foods rich in potassium and magnesium. It might help to take some supplements of those two as well. Good luck and welcome to the group.
