Bagged Salad Minus stuff?

Anyone have a good way to figure out the net carbs of a scanned item when you don’t include stuff?

i am using an Earthbound Farm Southwest Salad kit and not including the Nachito strips, which I think is what is putting it so high.  Anyone have any tips here?

    I find a package at the grocery store that has the veggie ingredients only and not the 'extras' and use that as my guide.  IF I use the extra stuff, I add it in one at a time. Probably not super accurate but better than getting 'charged' for stuff you don't eat.

    Do you have a food scale? If so, weigh all of the items that you WON’T eat, then separately weigh the items you will eat. You should be able to figure out the macros of each with your app. Compare with the total on the package when they’re added together as a check on your math. You will only have to do this once because you can add it as a recipe in your foods.

    So i wound up basically googling the nutrition for the one ingredient that I pulled out (roughly) and then subtracted it from the actual bagged salad nutrition in the app itself.  Seemed the easiest way to do it.  Far from exact science but I think it was probably a decent stab at it.
