If you’ve worked your way through the ‘Getting Started’ tab and ‘Settings’ tab, you should have your macros and calories automatically defined for you (the app works them out based on your input). If you want to (I think it’s a good idea) you can go to the ‘Settings’ tab and look into the ‘Macros’ section and use the slider bar to increase/decrease your total calories (note: this will also tweak your macros a tad). You can slide your cals way down for improved weight loss (but also perhaps increased hunger - find your balance).
Macros are guides and not hard targets to achieve. You can (and most likely should) remain under your total carbs. Proteins can also be ‘under’ a bit; just don’t make it a habit of being over proteins. And fats are there to help you feel full after you eat.
It’s very, very important to use the ‘Meal Planner’ tab to build your daily menus in advance. Do NOT just eat something and then log it in after the fact.
By building your menus in advance lets you see how your menus will result: total carbs, fats, proteins and cals for the day.
Now... have fun exploring the various foods that will optimize your numbers and giving you meals that you’ll enjoy.
I hope this helps and good luck!
