New to Keto

Hi, 

I only started this journey yesterday but am already confused if i should be trying to maintain 20 total carbs or Net Carbs.

 

I am also unsure of the accuracy of the values against some of the pre listed foods on the app.  I am getting to my carb count very quickly but only eating low carb vegetables......

 

Any advice greatly received for a newbie, thank you!!!

    Hi guys, I am new to keto as well and a bit confused.  How many calories can I consume If I want to lose weight fast in keto? I am eating everyday less than 20 gr carbs and high fat food.  Do I count calories or I don't have to in keto? Please advice

    @DTL I sent you a reply to your first post of this topic.

    as for quickly reaching carbs: it’s part of the learning process.  The keto diet is a major shift in how we eat and it will take a little while to adjust to the new manner of meal planning and find your groove.

    But it works - just stick with it and make adjustments to keep your carbs down.

    DTL: You want to focus on your Net Carbs. 20g is low. I don't know what your goals are but since you're starting a new diet you may want to increase the carbs (just for now - 3-4 weeks) to 30g's then taper down to 20. Hope this helps.
