New to KETO. I need to increase protein

Hi, I’m new to this diet. I’m doing good staying under 30 carbs, but having difficulty getting enough protein without going over calories and fat intake. How important is it to get the percentage of protein? Any ideas on how I can achieve this?

I haven't always tracked my fat and protein macros, and have done very well just focusing on counting my net carbs. I hardly counted calories either and lost weight with ease. Counting net carbs only, versus all macros and calories is an ongoing debate / topic in the keto community; how strict must one be with their macro tracking? I'll leave that decision to you. I'm starting to track all of my macros now because I am an analytics nerd and really want to evaluate my diet. But you CAN definitely lose weight and get into ketosis by tracking net carbs alone.

If you are concerned with upping your protein, you may want to try supplementing with collagen peptides (I recommend the brand Vital Proteins - worth the price for the quality and "invisible" flavor). You can add the collagen peptides to any beverage. In addition to being a good source of protein, it is also really good for you joints, skin, hair, and nails!

There are other brands of collagen peptides that I have tried, but sometimes they have a beefy flavor to them... rather off-putting when added to my coffee!

I asked this same question a couple of weeks ago. Here's the thread ~~>
