New to KETO

Hi my name is Angela. I have been overweight all my life. I started this keto food plan almost 3 weeks ago. I'm learning more everyday and getting better and better at it. I need to lose 60 lb by September so I can have my surgery of a total shoulder replacement. My main thing right now is trying to figure out how to keep track of my protein and carbs. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Angela. The app does it for you when you enter you foods on your daily log or meal planning section. You will need the premium version to enter everything for more accurate tracking. Good luck.

  • Definitely read labels, log what you eat and plan ahead to stay on track. I meal prep for 3 days at the time. I would not be able to stay in the diet if i wasn't ready for all meals.

I've been weighing and measuring everything and I think it really helps me get my recording accurate.

  • Hi Angela,  im new to keto too. This app is so helpful, many of the foods can be scanned by barcode or entered manually. You find the food for example : eggs, fried- tap on it, then it will bring you to a screen you can put the amount you consumed, then press done and it will add it. On the main tracker screen it will show you in a pie chart how much you  consumed.

Many foods have carbs in them so its a bit tricky, but you will get used to it. I make hamburger patties with a slice of cheese, no bun. Its like having a mini meat loaf 😊 you get protein and almost no carbs.

I hope this answered your question.feel free to message me  anytime. Good luck with your journey and your surgery ❤

  • goplay i need to start doing this too. Especially since some foods i eat dont have an option for 'pieces' i.e. sno peas, i cant input 4 pieces chopped (in my salad) i have to say tablespoons...which i dont think is accurate.
