Eating strawberries on Keto?
I recently bought a keto book that says I can eat strawberries and blueberries. However, when I put them in the app Carb Manager, it says to restrict or limit them. They do take up a lot of carbs. Any suggestions/opinions? I need at last 30g of fiber daily!

Hi Sharen, I eat 10 blueberries, or 10 raspberries if I want them. Only 2 strawberries. For fibre I eat a half an avocado every day, usually mashed with cocoa and a bit of sweetener, provides potassium and fibre and is decadently delish. Hope that helps. You won't get 30g of fibre on keto but if you drink enough water you'll poop okay.

Konjac has 5g of fiber and 0 carbs. Fabulous stuff. I bought NuPasta Konjac Spaghetti, Fettucine, and Rice and put my meatballs on it, pesto or alfredo sauce, its super filling and practically a free food. Note that whatever you put on it or in it is your only nutrition though so make it nutrient dense for toppings or you'll be hungry again too soon.

Heather Fraser Yes, Konjac has 5g fibre. NuPasta makes spaghetti, fettucine and rice out of it. No nutrients in it though so top it with meat or cheese and alfredo sauce or pesto with lots of parmesan and asiago too. If you don't you'll be hungry again soon afterwards. Rinse, heat and serve. Terrific for fibre.

Hi Sharen - I eat at least 2 cups of spring mix salad with dinner and add a Tbs of Flax seed on top. That will give you some fiber. I am wondering though, if we can up our fiber with a no carb solution like sugar free Metamucil and how that would affect our diet? Anyone have an idea or have tried it?
