I take Perfect Keto MCT powder each morning, and pure C8 MCT oil once or twice a day. I can feel the energy difference very quickly and find it's a great way to get some of the fat I need from a very keto friendly source.
Occasionally I will enjoy a few vodka/club soda's while at an event, which temporarily stalls ketosis for me. I will also have a very rare cheat meal where I eat a few extra carbs that aren't from vegetables. In those cases I will take a scoop of Perfect Keto Base, which have exogenous ketones along with MCT powder. I have honestly been shocked at the results. I have started to take the exogenous Ketones when I have a bit of a plateau and they seem to help get through it quickly. The Perfect Keto products aren't inexpensive, but I believe they are high quality. I walk 5 miles early each morning and typically have a cup of coffee with the MCT powder in it prior to walking. On the days that I do that I tend to feel much more energetic during my walk, and when I wait until I feel a bit hungry prior to eating a keto friendly breakfast, the scale usually shows some of my best results. For me, the energy after eating MCT powder of oil is very noticeable.
My personal belief is that a keto diet will work without any supplements. For me, they seem to enhance and improve the results.
