Gotta be able to outrun the zombies!

Tomorrow is the day.  Back on track.  I gained about 4 lbs between Thanksgiving and today1/5/20.  Today was the last holiday party, and I am honestly proud of only gaining 4 lbs in two months.  In the past, it would have been MUCH more.

I am not new to LC living, but am definitely a keto newb.  I am doing what many call dirty or lazy keto.  I am two years postop sleeve gastrectomy.  I am down about 90 lbs from my highest weight, but am UP 15 pounds from my lowest weight about a year ago (185) - my ultimate goal weight was 175, and I never made it down to that.  I'm gonna get there and go 5 lbs below that.  So it's time to get back to tracking EVERY DAY and holding myself accountable EVERY DAY.  I will be using Carbmanager to track food, exercise and I will be coming here to post almost every day.  This is just my daily accountability journal - mostly for myself to have a place to document my journey.  Feel free to follow along, comment/interact if you like. 

I just got a new-to-me Fitbit Ionic that I'll be using to keep track of steps and workouts.  I've been using a Blaze for the last year.  Hubs gets that one and now I'll use the Ionic.  Monday is new day, new year, beginning of a new me!

    Did not get on the scale today - forgot about it until I was already dressed for work and no time to take everything back off.  Ate right on plan yesterday and was suprised to not have many cravings.  Was below all my self-imposed thresholds, though I did not get my walk in yesterday or this morning.  Back to the gym tomorrow morning!

    Forgot scale again today because actually went to the GYM!  Did 45 mins on the treadmill, which is an emotional accomplishment.  Seriously.  I REALLY wanted to stay in bed but was meeti gmy WO buddy, Leslie, so that wasn't an option.  I also need to get back to my weight training schedule.  Need to figure that out today and maybe start back at that tmrw.  I have got to figure out my schedule and the best schedule for crating the dogs.  They are only 10 months old and have only been crated a Max of 6.5 hrs so far.  So that means an early trip to the gym, home to clean up and let them run, then to work.  My work sched this week is pretty tight, so lifting may have to start on Monday.  We will see.  

    My food intake yest was almost on point.  I WAS slightly over on all my macros, so will be dialing that back today.  It feels good to be back on track.  Hopefully the scale will show me some good numbers tmrw.  ☮️!

  • Hi All!  I am in my first week of Keto. Lost 9 # in the first 3 days - realizing that it is mainly water weight.  Day 5 and I have gained a pound.  I am religiously using Carb Manager to keep on track, but I find I am struggling with keeping the protein down.  Is it normal to gain weight before hitting keto sis?  I am going to do the intermittent Keto, so thought to day would be a good day to fast so I don’t become discouraged with the days weight gain.  Any suggestions or advice will help
