Net Carb - A Limit or a Daily Goal?

On Carb Manager, my husband and I have set up our accounts, but ran into a disagreement recently. Is the Net Carb prescribed a limit or is it a daily goal? My husband has 27 and I have 17. He was convinced he had to eat all 27.

Thank you for your input.

Limit. The more you stay under the better. For successful weight loss, stay under 20 net carbs.

Manually set to 75% fat 20 protein & 5 carbs

Yes, limit.  Eat as few carbs as is comfortable for you.   Try to hit the protein and fat goals.  If you are leaving behind carbs, you can make up those calories, mostly in fat.  Remember that 1g of fat is more than twice as many calories as 1 gram of carbs, though (9c vs 4c).

I use it as a "limit" and try not to go over...some days I do by maybe 2 net carbs, but my goal is always to keep it under.
